The name change will be executed gradually over the following months. Our users and other stakeholders will face no disruptions during this transformation.
Why Verda
From day 0, we ventured on a mission to reshape the future of cloud services.
Founded by our CEO, Ruben Bryon, DataCrunch set out to remove the bottleneck that slowed down AI innovation: access to cutting-edge GPU compute.
Today, we are a tight-knit team of 64, providing and scaling cutting-edge infrastructure for tens of thousands of AI builders across the globe. We have raised over $85M to date and are entering the new stage of our growth journey.
But as AI is advancing faster than ever, we believe that this innovation must not come at the expense of future generations, civil liberties, and the environment.
That is why we are building a European hyperscaler that honors data protection and AI sovereignty while utilizing 100% renewable energy sources.
The name Verda is derived from the Spanish word for “true” and the Esperanto word for “green”. The name change symbolizes and reinforces our values of technological integrity and sustainable innovation.
We look forward to what our customers can build with the Verda Cloud Platform.
Impact on services
We have planned the name change in a way that will cause virtually no service disruptions to our customers and stakeholders.
We will provide follow-up communications and detailed documentation for any changes that may require action from you.

Workflows
There will be no immediate changes to our services:

Our Customer Engineering team will notify you of any forthcoming changes in advance. We will also provide detailed documentation and hands-on support for any matters that could require you to change your workflows.
Billing
Whether you have long-term contracts or pay for on-demand resources, you will face virtually no disruptions, and the changes will be implemented gradually over time.
Your invoices and renewed documents may say `Verda (formerly DataCrunch)` starting from 2025-11-17.
However, there will be no immediate changes to our legal entity or banking details. We will notify you well in advance of these changes.

On 2025-11-17, we will migrate to verda.com and change our name from `DataCrunch` to `Verda (formerly DataCrunch)` across all communication channels.

You can continue to access our services and reach our team by email via the datacrunch.io domain, although you will be redirected or forwarded to verda.com.
AI GigaFactories
Over the past months, we have had a number of positive conversations with EU member states, consortia, industry, and supporting organizations about our AI GigaFactory proposal to the EU Commission.
The name change does not affect our ambitions and progress towards making our bid a reality.
